This has been a most hectic week! Between 14-hour work days and stretching myself by doing something new, I have had zero time for me. With the summer break officially underway, it means that I am always thinking of keeping the Frog Princess engaged. Which leaves little time for me to just breathe.
Well, this morning I woke up after the first night of restful sleep in weeks. There were things to do around the house after being gone most of the week. Afterwards, I decided we would go shopping for some crafts and a few things here and there. I made a list and checked it twice (and I still forgot to put a couple of things!). I got us both dressed and then I stopped.
I needed something to drink and didn’t have much time. I also needed a breather because I hadn’t stopped since my feet hit the floor. I decided to take 10 minutes for me. And in that time, I managed to serve myself a tall cup of International Delight Iced Coffee (in Mocha, of course). I may or may not have topped it off with caramel. I’ll never tell!
I grabbed a chair outside and breathed for a few minutes. It was like my own little meditation moment. I didn’t have to spend a lot of time making coffee and then chilling it. I just poured. And the 10 minutes served as my own recharging moment.
You don’t need a ton of time to recharge. But I find that the right treat is important. Today, that treat was definitely the yummy Mocha Iced Coffee. How do you recharge?
